Entehep 1 Tablet contains Entecavir 1mg, a potent antiviral agent indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in adults with evidence of active viral replication and either persistent elevations in serum aminotransferases or histologically active disease. Entecavir is a nucleoside analogue that inhibits HBV replication by interfering with the viral polymerase enzyme, thereby reducing viral DNA synthesis. This medication is effective in suppressing HBV replication, leading to improved liver function and reduced risk of disease progression, including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Entehep 1 Tablet is administered orally once daily, with or without food, and dosage adjustments may be necessary in patients with renal impairment. It is crucial to adhere to the prescribed regimen to prevent the development of viral resistance. Common adverse effects include headache, fatigue, dizziness, and nausea, which are generally mild and transient.
