Galvus Met 50mg/500mg Tablet

Metformin, a biguanide, works by reducing hepatic glucose production and improving insulin sensitivity, thereby helping to control blood glucose levels effectively. This combination is particularly beneficial for patients who have not achieved adequate glycemic control with Metformin alone. Galvus Met helps in maintaining stable blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of diabetes-related complications such as neuropathy, nephropathy, and retinopathy.

It is usually taken orally, with meals, to minimize gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with Metformin. Galvus Met is not suitable for patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or severe renal impairment.
