Eritel H Tablet contains a combination of Telmisartan 40 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg, indicated primarily for the management of hypertension. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, thereby inhibiting vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, which results in vasodilation and reduction of blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that promotes diuresis by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidneys, leading to decreased plasma volume and peripheral vascular resistance.
