Blood Pressure
Envas H Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Enalapril 5 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg, indicated for the management of hypertension. Enalapril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, acts by blocking the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation, reduced aldosterone secretion, and decreased blood pressure.

Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, promotes diuresis by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidneys, thereby reducing plasma volume and peripheral vascular resistance. The synergistic effect of these agents provides enhanced blood pressure control compared to monotherapy. Envas H Tablet is beneficial in patients who require multiple mechanisms to achieve target blood pressure levels and may also reduce the risk of cardiovascular morbidity associated with hypertension.
It is essential to monitor renal function, electrolytes, and blood pressure regularly during therapy. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to ACE inhibitors or thiazides, anuria, and pregnancy. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, electrolyte imbalances, or a history of angioedema. Adverse effects may include hypotension, dizziness, hyperkalemia, and electrolyte disturbances.
Envas H Tablet should be used under medical supervision with appropriate dose adjustments based on clinical response.

How to use Envas H Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Envas H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
