Zycel 200 Capsule contains Celecoxib 200 mg, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor used primarily for the management of pain and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal conditions. It is indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain including dysmenorrhea. By selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, Zycel 200 reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation and pain, while sparing COX-1, thereby minimizing gastrointestinal adverse effects commonly seen with non-selective NSAIDs.

Zycel 200 is administered orally, with dosage tailored according to the severity of symptoms and patient response. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to celecoxib, sulfonamides, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, as well as those with active gastrointestinal bleeding or severe hepatic impairment. Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular disease, renal impairment, or a history of gastrointestinal ulcers.
