Zovax CV 625 Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 500 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg. Amoxycillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin-class antibiotic effective against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic Acid acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, preventing enzymatic degradation of amoxycillin by beta-lactamase-producing resistant bacterial strains, thereby enhancing its antibacterial efficacy.

This synergistic combination is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media. Zovax CV 625 is particularly useful in managing infections where beta-lactamase producing bacteria are suspected or confirmed.
