Zonmox-CV 625 Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 500 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg, designed to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. Amoxycillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic, acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of Amoxycillin by preventing the degradation of the antibiotic by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria.

This synergistic combination is effective against various infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media. Zonmox-CV 625 is indicated for use in both community-acquired and hospital-acquired infections where beta-lactamase producing organisms are suspected. The usual dosage and duration depend on the severity and site of infection, and it should be administered as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Caution is advised in patients with a history of penicillin allergy or hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics.
