Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, acting as a selective antagonist of GABA and glycine receptors in the spinal cord, which helps alleviate muscle spasms and stiffness. The combination of these agents provides synergistic relief from pain and muscle spasm, improving patient mobility and quality of life. Zix-MR Tablet should be used under medical supervision, with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, cardiovascular disease, hepatic or renal impairment.
