Zifi CV 100 Dry Syrup is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Cefixime 100 mg and Clavulanic Acid 62.5 mg per dose, designed for oral suspension use. Cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin, exhibits broad-spectrum bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens. Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of Cefixime by preventing enzymatic degradation of the antibiotic, thereby overcoming resistance mechanisms in beta-lactamase producing bacteria.

This synergistic combination is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, and other susceptible bacterial infections. Zifi CV 100 Dry Syrup is particularly useful in pediatric patients requiring an oral antibiotic with improved spectrum and resistance coverage.
