Paracetamol works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever.
Aceclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation.
Medical applications
Zerofast Tablet contains a combination of Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg, formulated to provide effective relief from pain and inflammation. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever. The synergistic effect of these two active ingredients makes Zerofast Tablet suitable for managing various musculoskeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute soft tissue injuries. It is also indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain such as dental pain, postoperative pain, and dysmenorrhea. Zerofast is generally well-tolerated when used as directed; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and cardiovascular disorders. It is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, or other NSAIDs. Dosage should be individualized based on the severity of symptoms and patient response, and prolonged use should be avoided to minimize adverse effects. Consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended before initiating therapy with Zerofast Tablet.
