Paracetamol (325mg) + Aceclofenac (100mg)
Active composition
+1 more active ingredient
Paracetamol works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever.
Aceclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation.
Medical applications
Zerodol P Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. The synergistic action of these two components provides effective relief from mild to moderate pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and soft tissue injuries. Zerodol P is indicated for the management of acute pain conditions including dental pain, postoperative pain, and dysmenorrhea. It is generally well tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and cardiovascular disease. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and dizziness. Zerodol P should be used under medical supervision, adhering to prescribed dosages to minimize potential side effects and drug interactions. It is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, or other NSAIDs.
