Zenidine Ointment provides a protective barrier that maintains a moist wound environment, promoting optimal healing conditions while minimizing the risk of secondary infections. It is suitable for topical application on intact and damaged skin but should be avoided on large open wounds or mucous membranes unless directed by a healthcare professional. The ointment is generally well-tolerated; however, hypersensitivity reactions such as redness, itching, or rash may occur in sensitive individuals.
It is contraindicated in patients with known iodine allergy or thyroid disorders.
