Flan Eye/Ear Drops are indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, and other superficial ocular infections, as well as otitis externa and other bacterial infections of the external ear canal. The formulation is designed for topical application, ensuring targeted delivery of the active ingredient with minimal systemic absorption, which reduces the risk of systemic side effects.
Patients should use the drops as prescribed, typically instilling one or two drops into the affected eye or ear several times daily, depending on the severity of the infection and the healthcare provider’s instructions. It is important to complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve earlier to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance. Flan Eye/Ear Drops are contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to ofloxacin or other quinolones.
Common side effects may include mild irritation, burning, or stinging at the application site.
