Ofloxacin exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination, thereby preventing bacterial cell proliferation. Zanocin 50 Liquid is formulated for oral administration, allowing for flexible dosing in pediatric and adult patients who may have difficulty swallowing tablets. The dosage and duration of therapy should be determined based on the type and severity of infection, as well as patient-specific factors including renal function. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, as well as headache and dizziness. Use of Zanocin 50 Liquid should be avoided in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones.
