Cefpodoxime Proxetil exerts its effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. The tablet is designed as a dispersible tablet (DT), facilitating ease of administration, especially in patients with difficulty swallowing. Yuvidox 100 is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, including strains resistant to earlier generation cephalosporins.
