Paracetamol (325mg) + Diclofenac (50mg)
Active composition
+1 more active ingredient
Paracetamol works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever.
Diclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which mediate pain and inflammation.
Medical applications
Yuvidoc Tablet contains a combination of Diclofenac 50 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg, formulated for the effective management of mild to moderate pain and inflammation. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. The synergistic effect of these two active ingredients provides enhanced analgesic efficacy compared to monotherapy, making Yuvidoc Tablet suitable for conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, dental pain, postoperative pain, and dysmenorrhea. It is generally well tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and cardiovascular disorders. Yuvidoc should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to minimize potential adverse effects, including gastrointestinal irritation, hepatotoxicity, and hypersensitivity reactions. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to diclofenac, paracetamol, or other NSAIDs. Consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended before initiating therapy to ensure appropriate use and monitoring.
