Yurokal Syrup

The active ingredient, Disodium Hydrogen Citrate, functions by releasing citrate ions that bind hydrogen ions, resulting in an increased bicarbonate concentration and elevated urinary pH. This mechanism helps prevent the formation of uric acid and cystine stones and promotes the excretion of acidic metabolites. Yurokal Syrup is administered orally, with dosage tailored according to the patient’s clinical condition and response to therapy.

It is generally well tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with sodium-restricted diets, hypertension, or impaired renal function due to its sodium content.
