Xipra Sublingual tablet

Piroxicam exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Xipra is particularly useful in patients requiring prompt relief from acute pain episodes or those who have difficulty swallowing conventional tablets. The recommended dosage should be individualized based on the severity of symptoms and patient response, with caution advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding disorders, renal or hepatic impairment, and cardiovascular risk factors.

Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, dizziness, and hypersensitivity reactions. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to piroxicam or other NSAIDs. Concomitant use with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants should be avoided or closely monitored.
