Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Capsaicin acts by depleting substance P from sensory nerve endings, leading to a reduction in pain transmission. Methyl Salicylate serves as a counterirritant, producing a warming sensation that helps alleviate discomfort. Menthol contributes a cooling effect that provides symptomatic relief and enhances local blood flow.
