Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Ornidazole, a nitroimidazole derivative, exhibits potent antiprotozoal and anaerobic antibacterial effects. Itraconazole, a triazole antifungal agent, targets dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, essential for fungal cell membrane integrity. Clobetasol propionate, a potent corticosteroid, exerts anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive actions, reducing erythema, swelling, and itching associated with dermatological conditions. This combination cream is indicated for complicated skin infections where mixed microbial flora and significant inflammation coexist, such as infected eczema, fungal-bacterial superinfections, and certain protozoal skin conditions.
