Xenoglim-MP2 Tablet SR

Pioglitazone, a thiazolidinedione, acts as an insulin sensitizer by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ), improving insulin sensitivity in adipose tissue, muscle, and the liver. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures a gradual release of active ingredients, promoting better glycemic control with reduced dosing frequency and minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with Metformin.

Xenoglim-MP2 is indicated for patients inadequately controlled on monotherapy or dual therapy with the individual components, providing a comprehensive approach to glycemic management through complementary mechanisms of action. It should be used under medical supervision with regular monitoring of blood glucose, renal and hepatic function. Contraindications include type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal or hepatic impairment, and hypersensitivity to any component.
