Xenia 25 Tablet contains Empagliflozin 25 mg, a selective sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor used primarily for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. By inhibiting SGLT2 in the proximal renal tubules, Empagliflozin reduces glucose reabsorption, promoting urinary glucose excretion and thereby lowering blood glucose levels. Xenia 25 is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents.

Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose, and body weight, with additional cardiovascular and renal benefits observed in patients at risk. The tablet should be administered once daily, with or without food, and dosage adjustments may be required based on renal function and tolerability. Common adverse effects include urinary tract infections, genital mycotic infections, and increased urination.
Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, hypotension, or risk of ketoacidosis. Regular monitoring of renal function, electrolytes, and glycemic parameters is recommended during therapy. Xenia 25 should be used under medical supervision to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize potential risks.
