Enoxaparin (40mg)
Active composition
Medical applications
Womenox Injection contains Enoxaparin 40 mg, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) used primarily as an anticoagulant to prevent and treat thromboembolic disorders. Enoxaparin exerts its effect by potentiating the inhibition of activated factor Xa and to a lesser extent factor IIa (thrombin), thereby interrupting the coagulation cascade and reducing the formation of fibrin clots. Womenox Injection is indicated for the prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which may lead to pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients undergoing surgery, including orthopedic procedures such as hip or knee replacement, or in medical patients at risk due to immobilization. It is also used in the treatment of acute DVT with or without pulmonary embolism and as an adjunct in the management of unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction. The injection is administered subcutaneously, with dosage and duration tailored according to the clinical condition and patient risk factors. Caution is advised in patients with bleeding disorders, severe renal impairment, or those receiving concomitant anticoagulant therapy. Monitoring of anti-factor Xa levels may be necessary in special populations. Womenox Injection should be used under strict medical supervision to minimize risks of hemorrhage and other adverse effects.
