Otraflam-SP Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac (100 mg), Paracetamol (325 mg), and Serratiopeptidase (15 mg). Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic benefits through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, complementing the effects of Aceclofenac while minimizing gastrointestinal irritation. Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, facilitates the breakdown of inflammatory mediators and promotes the resolution of edema and tissue inflammation. This synergistic combination is indicated for the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and soft tissue injuries such as sprains and strains. Otraflam-SP effectively alleviates pain, reduces inflammation, and enhances functional mobility. It is generally well-tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs.
