Otodac-DX Ear Drop is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Ofloxacin (0.3% w/v), a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic, and Dexamethasone (0.1% w/v), a potent corticosteroid. This preparation is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections of the external auditory canal and middle ear, particularly otitis externa and otitis media, where inflammation and infection coexist.

Ofloxacin exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby preventing bacterial replication and promoting eradication of susceptible pathogens. Concurrently, Dexamethasone provides anti-inflammatory action by suppressing the release of inflammatory mediators, reducing edema, erythema, and pain associated with ear infections. Otodac-DX is intended for topical administration into the ear canal, ensuring high local drug concentration with minimal systemic absorption.
