Osteoace-R Capsule SR is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Aceclofenac 200 mg and Rabeprazole 20 mg, designed for the management of inflammatory conditions accompanied by pain and gastric acid-related complications. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by selectively inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation and pain. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, providing gastroprotection and reducing the risk of NSAID-induced gastric ulcers and dyspepsia. Osteoace-R Capsule SR is indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other musculoskeletal disorders where inflammation and pain are prominent. The sustained-release formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, enhancing patient compliance and efficacy. Caution is advised in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or PPIs, active gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic or renal impairment, and cardiovascular disease.
