Additionally, it is used in the management of malaria prophylaxis and treatment of atypical infections caused by organisms such as Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, and Chlamydia species. Omega Doxycycline should be administered orally, preferably with a full glass of water to minimize esophageal irritation, and can be taken with or without food. It is important to complete the full prescribed course to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance.
Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, photosensitivity, and potential for esophageal ulceration if not taken properly.
