Olumiant 4mg Tablet contains Baricitinib, a selective Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in adult patients who have had an inadequate response or intolerance to one or more disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). Baricitinib works by inhibiting the activity of JAK1 and JAK2 enzymes, which play a key role in the signaling pathways involved in the inflammatory process and immune response.

By modulating these pathways, Olumiant helps reduce inflammation, joint damage, and pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, thereby improving physical function and quality of life. The recommended dosage is 4 mg once daily, with or without food, and dosage adjustments may be necessary based on renal function. Olumiant is contraindicated in patients with active infections, severe hepatic impairment, or known hypersensitivity to Baricitinib or any excipients.
