Olocan-KT Eye Drop is a combination ophthalmic solution containing Ketorolac tromethamine 0.4% w/v and Olopatadine hydrochloride 0.1% w/v, formulated for the management of ocular inflammation and allergic conjunctivitis. Ketorolac, a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and swelling in ocular tissues. Olopatadine, a selective H1 histamine receptor antagonist with mast cell stabilizing properties, effectively alleviates symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis such as itching, redness, and swelling by preventing histamine release and subsequent allergic response. Olocan-KT Eye Drop is indicated for the relief of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis and for reducing inflammation following ocular surgery or injury. The combination therapy offers dual benefits by addressing both inflammatory and allergic components, providing rapid symptomatic relief and improving patient comfort.
