Olanzapine acts by modulating the activity of various neurotransmitters in the brain, primarily through antagonism of dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, which helps in alleviating psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking.

It is also effective in managing acute manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder and for maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence. Olizoy MD 10 Tablet is administered orally and should be used under medical supervision, with dosage individualized based on the patient's clinical response and tolerability. Common adverse effects include sedation, weight gain, increased appetite, and metabolic changes such as hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia; therefore, regular monitoring of blood glucose and lipid profiles is recommended.
Caution is advised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or risk factors for metabolic syndrome. Olizoy MD 10 Tablet should not be abruptly discontinued to avoid withdrawal symptoms or relapse. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Olanzapine or any tablet excipients. This medication should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation, and only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
