Ornidazole, a nitroimidazole derivative, exhibits potent activity against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa by disrupting DNA synthesis and causing strand breakage. This synergistic combination makes Oflo 700 Tablet particularly useful in managing mixed infections involving both aerobic and anaerobic organisms, such as gastrointestinal infections, genitourinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections.
