Metronidazole is an effective nitroimidazole antimicrobial agent targeting anaerobic bacteria and protozoa through disruption of DNA synthesis. Simethicone acts as an anti-foaming agent that reduces bloating and discomfort caused by excess gas in the gastrointestinal tract by coalescing gas bubbles, facilitating their elimination.
