Nusidol SR Tablet contains Aceclofenac 200 mg, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is primarily indicated for the management of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Aceclofenac exerts its therapeutic effect by selectively inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and fever.

Nusidol SR is formulated as a sustained-release tablet to provide prolonged analgesic action, enhancing patient compliance by reducing dosing frequency. It is generally well-tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, renal or hepatic impairment, and cardiovascular conditions. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, dyspepsia, and dizziness.
It is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac or other NSAIDs, and during the third trimester of pregnancy due to the risk of fetal complications. Nusidol SR should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to minimize potential side effects. Regular monitoring of renal and hepatic function is recommended during prolonged therapy.
This medication should be taken under medical supervision with adherence to prescribed dosage.
