Nusidol-P Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. Nusidol-P is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute soft tissue injuries. It is also effective in reducing inflammation and fever. The combination enhances analgesic efficacy while minimizing the dose-related side effects associated with individual components. Nusidol-P should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and cardiovascular conditions. It is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or paracetamol. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and rash.
