Etoricoxib acts by selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and swelling, while sparing COX-1 enzyme activity, which helps maintain gastrointestinal mucosal integrity. Nureeto 60 is indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis. It is also effective in managing chronic musculoskeletal pain and postoperative pain. The recommended dosage should be individualized based on the patient's condition and response, with a typical dose of 60 mg once daily. Caution is advised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, renal impairment, or gastrointestinal disorders.
