Nuflam-TH 8mg Capsule SR is a combination medication containing Aceclofenac 200mg, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and Thiocolchicoside 8mg, a muscle relaxant. This formulation is indicated for the management of musculoskeletal pain associated with inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as acute musculoskeletal spasms.

Aceclofenac exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and swelling. Thiocolchicoside acts as a selective muscle relaxant by binding to GABA and glycine receptors, leading to the relief of muscle spasms without significant sedation. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures prolonged plasma concentration, providing extended symptom control and improving patient compliance through reduced dosing frequency.
Nuflam-TH 8mg Capsule SR should be administered under medical supervision, with caution advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, cardiovascular disorders, hepatic or renal impairment. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, and allergic reactions. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to either component, during pregnancy, and lactation.
