Nexotran Tablet

Nexotran Tablets, containing 250mg of Tranexamic Acid, are anti-fibrinolytic medications primarily used to control or prevent excessive bleeding. They are indicated in the management of hereditary angioedema, for the control of post-tooth extraction bleeding, and for the treatment of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) associated with bleeding in patients undergoing surgery or childbirth.

Nexotran Tablets are also used off-label in some cases for the treatment of post-traumatic bleeding and menorrhagia. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of fibrinolysis, thus promoting clot formation and stability. As with any medication, potential side effects include nausea, vomiting, and allergic reactions.
