Neliptin 20 Tablet contains the active ingredient Teneligliptin (20mg), a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. This medication is primarily used in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Neliptin aids in lowering blood sugar levels by increasing the body's insulin production and decreasing the release of glucose from the liver. It also slows down the digestion of carbohydrates in the gut.
Neliptin is recommended for patients who are not adequately controlled on diet and exercise, or metformin, or both. Like all medications, Neliptin may cause side effects such as headache, nasopharyngitis, and upper respiratory tract infection. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels, HbA1c, and renal function is recommended during treatment. Always consult with a healthcare provider for proper usage and safety information.
