Napaid 500 Tablet contains Naproxen, a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is primarily indicated for the relief of symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Naproxen works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis, and thereby providing anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. This medication should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastric ulcers, bleeding, or liver/kidney disease. Gastrointestinal side effects may occur, and the risk can be minimized by taking the tablet with food or milk. Regular monitoring of renal and hepatic function is recommended during long-term use.
