The Myospaz D Tablet is a combined analgesic medication, containing Diclofenac (50mg) and Metaxalone (400mg) as its active components. This pharmaceutical formulation is primarily intended for the relief of muscle pain and inflammation, as well as reducing joint swelling and stiffness. Diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis and alleviating inflammation and pain.
Metaxalone, a skeletal muscle relaxant, acts centrally to decrease the tension and spasm of muscle fibers, further contributing to pain relief. The Myospaz D Tablet is recommended for short-term use under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
