The Mucotune AB Tablet is a combination medication containing Acebrophylline (100mg) and Acetylcysteine (600mg). Acebrophylline, a xanthine derivative, acts as a bronchodilator and vasodilator, enhancing mucociliary clearance in the respiratory tract. Acetylcysteine, an antioxidant mucolytic agent, aids in the liquefaction and expectoration of viscous bronchial secretions. This medication is primarily indicated for the symptomatic treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and mucus hypersecretory disorders, with its unique formulation aimed at improving airway clearance and reducing mucus thickness.
