Medical applications
Moxiblu-LP Eye Drop is a sterile, preserved-free, aqueous solution for topical ocular use, containing a fixed combination of 0.5% w/v loteprednol etabonate and 0.5% w/v moxifloxacin. This formulation combines the anti-inflammatory effects of loteprednol etabonate, a corticosteroid, with the antimicrobial properties of moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Moxiblu-LP Eye Drop is indicated for the treatment of conjunctivitis and keratitis caused by susceptible bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis. It is also indicated for the management of postoperative ocular inflammation following cataract surgery and for the treatment of uveitis. The product is contraindicated in patients with a history of herpes simplex keratitis or other ocular viral infections. As with any topical ophthalmic medication, there is a possibility of glaucoma or increased intraocular pressure. Patients should be instructed to use this product in the affected eye only and not to touch the tip of the bottle to the eye or any other surface.
How to use Moxiblu-LP Eye Drop This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
