Moxclav DS Powder for Oral Suspension is a fixed-dose combination antibiotic containing amoxycillin (400mg/5ml) and clavulanic acid (57mg/5ml) for the treatment of bacterial infections. The suspension is indicated for use in pediatric patients who are at least 3 months old and in adult patients with susceptible infections, including respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, sinusitis, and otitis media, as well as urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections. The product's unique combination of amoxycillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin, and clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, provides enhanced antibacterial activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The powder for oral suspension is administered every 8 hours, with a recommended dose of 90mg/5ml (400mg amoxycillin/57mg clavulanic acid) per kilogram of body weight.
