Mox P 500 Tablet is a prescription medication containing a combination of amoxycillin 500mg and Lactobacillus 60Million spores. This product is a broad-spectrum antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, sinusitis, and upper and lower respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin, a penicillin-class antibiotic, exhibits bactericidal properties against a wide range of susceptible microorganisms, including Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis.

Lactobacillus, a probiotic, is added to the formulation to restore the normal gut flora and alleviate symptoms of antibiotic-associated diarrhea. The tablet is designed for oral administration and should be taken at regular intervals to maintain effective serum levels. Mox P 500 Tablet is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics.
Adverse reactions may include gastrointestinal disturbances, skin rashes, and allergic reactions. As with any antibiotic, prolonged use may lead to the emergence of resistant bacteria.
