It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacterial infections, including those caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis. Mox 500mg Capsule is indicated for the treatment of infections such as upper respiratory tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections. It is also effective against beta-lactamase producing bacteria, including penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae. The product is available in capsule form, with a recommended adult dosage of one capsule every 8 hours, up to a maximum of 6 capsules per day. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to penicillin or cephalosporins. As with any antibiotic, Mox 500mg Capsule should be used with caution and under medical supervision, as the emergence of resistance is a significant concern.
