Morglin-M 1000 Tablet ER is a once-daily, extended-release combination medication indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Each tablet contains 1000mg of metformin, a biguanide derivative, and 20mg of teneligliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. The medication works by enhancing insulin sensitivity and increasing glucose uptake in the muscles, while also inhibiting the degradation of incretin hormones, such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). This dual mechanism of action helps to improve glucose control and reduce hyperglycemia in patients with type 2 diabetes.
