This topical corticosteroid-antibiotic combination is indicated for the treatment of postoperative inflammation and pain, and for the management of inflammation and pain associated with cataract surgery, conjunctivitis, and other eye disorders. Loteprednol etabonate, a potent corticosteroid, reduces inflammation and itching, while moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing the growth of susceptible microorganisms. The combination provides a rapid and effective response to inflammation and infection, reducing the risk of complications and promoting a smooth postoperative recovery. The solution is clear, colorless, and odorless, with a pH range of 5.5 to 6.5. It is administered topically, 2-3 times daily, and should be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
