The active pharmaceutical ingredient, Ceftriaxone, is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Monotax 500mg Injection is administered intramuscularly or intravenously, with dosing schedules dependent on the specific infection and patient population. In adults, the recommended dose is 1-2 grams every 8-12 hours for 7-14 days, while in pediatric patients, the dose is 50-75 mg/kg every 12 hours for 7-14 days.
