The onset of action typically occurs within 30 minutes to 1 hour, with the maximum effect seen within 2-4 hours. The duration of action is up to 8 hours. Monit OD 50mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Isosorbide Mononitrate or other nitrates, as well as in patients with recent myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, or unstable angina.
Concomitant use with phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, such as Sildenafil, Tadalafil, or Vardenafil, is also contraindicated. As with any medication, patients should be closely monitored for signs of hypotension, headache, and flushing, as these may be indicative of overdosage.
