Monit 60-SR Tablet is a controlled-release formulation of Isosorbide Mononitrate, indicated for the treatment of angina pectoris, a condition characterized by recurring episodes of chest pain or discomfort, typically precipitated by physical exertion or emotional stress. The product contains 60mg of Isosorbide Mononitrate, a direct-acting vasodilator that acts as a nitrate-like agent, relaxing vascular smooth muscle and reducing peripheral vascular resistance. The once-daily, controlled-release formulation allows for sustained delivery of the active ingredient, providing a consistent therapeutic effect throughout the 24-hour dosing interval. In clinical trials, Monit 60-SR Tablet has been shown to significantly reduce the frequency and severity of anginal episodes, as well as improve exercise tolerance and overall patient well-being. As with all nitrate-based therapies, Monit 60-SR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to nitrates or with a history of hypotension, tachycardia, or other adverse reactions to nitrates.
